GYB is bringing Nigeria to Kogi State – Engr Ohere
The Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere has hailed the infrastructure revolution of Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi State.
The Commissioner gave the commendation while inspecting completed and ongoing projects of the GYB administration within the Lokoja metropolis alongside the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr Kingsley Fanwo.
Engr. Ohere said the Civic Centre which is 90 percent completed is far better than the Eagle Square at the Federal Capital Territory, assuring the people of the commitment of the Governor to continue to deliver quality projects to the people of the State.
He said the majority of the Township Road projects have been completed with high standards while others are in advanced stages of execution.
He said the GYB administration decided to establish the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara to key into the development direction of the world.
On the 4km embankment constructed by the Kogi State Government along the banks of the River Niger, Engr Ohere said it is borne out of the need to protect the citizens of the state and travellers from the effects of flooding.
Also speaking at the Government Day Secondary School, Adankolo, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr Kingsley Fanwo told newsmen that the idea behind the gigantic project was to create a new world for Secondary School students in the state.
He said only a few states have something close to what the State is building there and in other parts of the State.
