Golda John Abiola was born on August 9, 1954, into the royal family of Lanlege in Awori, Ogun State on her maternal side, and Bakana, River State, Nigeria on her paternal side. Her rise to prominence began in 1974 when she starred in Wale Ogunyemi’s The Divorce, a role that established her as a formidable talent in Nigerian theatre.
