President Bola Tinubu met with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, and some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Those present at the meeting include the former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose; former governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom; and former governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu.
The meeting was held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Saturday evening.
Details of the meeting were yet to be disclosed as at press time.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has doubled down on his political realignment, declaring that he will lead President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign in Rivers State and FCT.
On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu signalled a potential political realignment by inviting Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) whenever he is ready.
