Dear Sir,

I hope this message finds you well. I pray that you complete your tenure successfully and leave Oyo State more peaceful and improved than before.

As a researcher, I believe that constructive criticism is a powerful tool, not meant to attack but to evaluate the progress of any administration against certain standards. Please view it as a way to understand the strengths and weaknesses of your work, as well as that of your commissioners and advisers, so you can make necessary improvements.

I have often used constructive criticism to hold my friends in power accountable, challenge their perspectives, and show them different ways to grow and improve. Successful leaders around the world see criticism as a chance to learn, not as a threat or failure. As the Yoruba proverb says, “Life without criticism is not worth living.”

In this spirit, with good intentions, I want to bring to your attention the increasing menace of land grabbers in Oyo State, especially in Ibadan, including Akinyele, which is my local government area.

People are suffering greatly due to the actions of these land grabbers, and they expect the state to protect their lives and property. It is even more troubling that some of these land grabbers operate with the support of police officers and civil servants using Oyo State-branded vehicles.

I call your attention to the corruption in your government, especially in the Ministry of Lands.

As a concerned indigene of Oyo State, my humble advice is for you to urgently instruct the Commissioner of Lands, the civil servants working in the Ministry of Lands, and the Commissioner of Police to address the actions of their staff and officers under their command and take firm action against the criminals working under them.
