The People of Owu Kingdom in Abeokuta , Ogun State South West Nigeria are currently in a mourning state due to the passing of chief Isola Akinsipo.

Orunto of Owu Kingdom ” It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our esteemed Chief Raobil Isola Akinsipo, the Akogun of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. In keeping with Islamic traditions, Chief Akinsipo was laid to rest the same day.
” On behalf of Alayeluwa, Oba Prof. Saka Matemilola, Oluyalo Otileta VII, Olowu of Owu Kingdom, we extend our heartfelt tribute to Chief Akinsipo’s remarkable life and enduring legacy. As a distinguished leader, he embodied exceptional service and dedication to humanity.
” Chief Akinsipo served the Owu Kingdom in various capacities, including as the Head of Iwarefa Owu. He was a seasoned broadcast practitioner, a Yoruba language specialist, an insurance consultant, and a traditionalist.
” His unwavering commitment to service, profound wisdom, and significant contributions to the Owu Kingdom have left an irreplaceable void in our community.
” We pray that his soul rests in perfect peace and that Chief Akinsipo s legacy continues to inspire generations, May his memory be forever blessed.”
