Nigeria President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday charged the Nations security architecture to be proactive in order to defeat enemies of the State.

Speaking during the decoration ceremony of the newly appointed Service Chiefs in Abuja, the President Charged them with the critical responsibility of safeguarding life and properties of Nigerian and also maintaining peace and stability,.

In his words, “Today’s ceremony goes beyond symbolism; it marks the beginning of our renewed effort to ensure the peace and security of all Nigerians. Nigerians expect results, not excuses. We are in a hurry to celebrate peace.”

Acknowledging their historic appointments and Senate confirmations, President Tinubu emphasized the gravity of their roles as leaders of Nigeria’s armed forces, noting that their responsibilities must be approached with the highest levels of commitment, dedication, and innovation.

The President further stated that no meaningful development can occur without first guaranteeing the safety and welfare of citizens.

He praised the armed forces for their steadfast sacrifices in defending Nigeria’s territorial integrity, reclaiming territories once occupied by terrorists and armed marauders, and rescuing countless citizens who had been victims of kidnappings and insurgency.

“I deeply appreciate our military for its patriotism and diligence, As Commander-in-Chief, I cannot thank you enough for your sacrifices, which have made the country proud.”

President Tinubu used the medium to charge them to be proactive in order to decimate newly emerging security challenges, including the rise of armed groups in regions such as the North-Central, North-West, and South.

“Of grave concern to our administration is the emergence of these new threats. We must smash the new snakes right in the head. Nigerians cannot wait any longer for peace.”

The President directed the service chiefs to act decisively and proactively, urging them to deploy innovative techniques, use technology where necessary, and collaborate effectively with other security agencies.

“Let’s stay ahead of those who seek to threaten our peace, freedom, and stability. We cannot allow the crisis that began in 2009 to persist any longer—it is time to defeat the enemies. Let us deploy technology where necessary

” I advise you to work together and change your information effectively and follow up proactively, work with other security agencies and defeat this enemy once and for all. we need to clean them up, clear them out.
I promise to provide all the support you need to get the job done.”
