Results from the governorship election from all the 16 local government areas of Taraba State as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) showed that Lt. Col Agbu Kefas, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), wins the election.
The results showed PDP lead with a wide margin of votes especially in the three councils of Ardo-Kola, Lau and Zing.
The Returning Officer, Professor Mohammed Ahmad Abdullaziz, announced the results at the INEC coalition centre which started on Sunday and concluded this morning in Jalingo, the state capital.
Col. Agbu was closely trailed by Professor Sani Yahaya, the candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate. He won in 11 local governments, NNPP 3 and APC with Senator Emmanuel Bwacha came a distant third with 2 local governments.
