The All Progressives Congress (APC) has successfully concluded its 2026 National Convention in Abuja, marking a significant milestone in the party’s ongoing consolidation of unity, strength, and strategic direction ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The convention, held at Eagle Square in Abuja, Nigeria, brought together an unprecedented gathering of party leaders, governors, members of the National Assembly, stakeholders, and delegates from across Nigeria and the Diaspora. The large turnout and seamless organisation reflected Nigerians’ growing confidence in the APC’s leadership and the party’s continued relevance as the foremost political platform in the country.
A defining highlight of the convention was the address delivered by *His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR*, whose speech resonated strongly with delegates and party faithful. The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to economic reform, national development, and inclusive governance, while calling for sustained unity within the party. In his words, “We do not seek a one-party state, but we will continue to earn the trust of Nigerians through performance, transparency, and progress.” He further emphasised the critical role of young Nigerians in nation-building, noting that they remain central to the country’s present strength and future prosperity.
The convention highlighted the growing influence and strategic importance of Diaspora engagement, with active participation from *Renewed Hope Global Executives*. Their presence affirmed the administration’s commitment to harnessing the expertise, resources, and networks of Nigerians abroad to advance national development and strengthen political mobilisation ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Speaking on behalf of the Diaspora bloc, the Renewed Hope Global Chairman, Amb. Joseph K Adebola commended the outcome of the convention, stating, “This convention has reaffirmed our collective resolve as a global movement; Renewed Hope Global stands fully aligned and committed to mobilising Nigerians across the Diaspora to secure a decisive victory for President Tinubu and the APC in 2027.”
Supporting the Global Chairman, Prince Ade Omole, added that, “the energy and unity demonstrated at this convention clearly show that the APC is not only prepared but determined to build upon its achievements and deliver an even stronger mandate for President Tinubu in 2027, and the Diaspora remains a critical pillar in this journey.”
Proceedings at the convention reflected a strong sense of cohesion and collective purpose within the party, as leaders and stakeholders reaffirmed their resolve to build on the achievements recorded under the *Renewed Hope Agenda*.
The outcomes of the convention further consolidate President Tinubu’s position as the rallying point of the APC, setting a clear pathway toward the party’s presidential primaries and the 2027 general elections.
Renewed Hope Global warmly congratulates the newly elected National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, and all members of the National Working Committee (NWC) on their emergence at this historic convention. Their election reflects the confidence reposed in them by party stakeholders across the federation. The party is confident that under the leadership of *Professor Nentawe Yilwatda*, the APC will further strengthen internal cohesion, deepen institutional capacity, and provide the strategic direction necessary to secure victory in forthcoming elections while advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda.
