The Nigeria Inspector General of Police has instructed the commissioners on Police in the Nigeria Capital and Plateau state to step up their security architecture in order to counter any form of Boko Haram insurgents and any other form of unrest in their domain.
Speaking through a letter signed by the principal staff officer to the IGP Ag. CP Idowu Owonunwa, addressed to the commissioners of police in the FCT and Plateau state which was leaked to the media, the inspector General of police called for vigilance and therefore directed that all government facilities and police formations should be adequately protected.
