Justice Olukayode Ariwoola was earlier sworn-in as the Supreme Court leader after taking the judicial oath of office as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja administered by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Justice Kayode Ariwoola, 62, takes over from the outgone CJN, justice Tanko Muhammad, and is not due to retire until the year 2028. He is expected to serve in an acting capacity till further confirmation by the National Judicial Council (NJC) of Nigeria.
