The newly appointed Patron of the Tinubu National Think-Tank (TNT), has underscored a rare note of political selflessness, stating that personal ambition must give way to the national interest.

Hon. Dr. Jelili Kayode Amusan, is the new executive patron and according to him, the bigger picture is the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) and the sustained implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda beyond 2027 and through 2031, for the benefit of all Nigerians.

Dr. Amusan emphasised that his political position is guided by collective progress rather than personal gain. He described his approach as one rooted in sacrifice, loyalty, and a deep commitment to national stability, arguing that continuity in leadership is essential for sustainable development. Supporting President Tinubu, he noted, is about strengthening institutions, consolidating reforms, and securing long-term prosperity.

He further stated that backing the PBAT movement through 2031 aligns with prioritising the welfare of the masses, citing what he described as significant achievements already recorded by the administration within a short period.

Key reforms and milestones highlighted include the removal of fuel subsidy to restore fiscal discipline; the appointment of new security service chiefs to reinforce national security; and the signing of strategic global and multilateral agreements, including the New Global Financial Pact, positioning Nigeria for increased international support and investment.

Other achievements include the unification of foreign exchange rates to improve transparency and investor confidence; approval of an Independent Power Plant project in Gwagwalada through NNPC Limited; and the establishment of an infrastructure fund for all 36 states to promote balanced development.

The administration has also advanced nationwide road construction and rehabilitation, introduced SME and farmers’ loan schemes, increased the minimum wage and NYSC allowance, expanded healthcare facilities, signed a new MoU with ASUU to reduce industrial actions, and launched a student loan scheme to widen access to tertiary education.

In conclusion, Dr. Amusan maintains that these reforms justify the need for continuity, asserting that the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is inseparable from the success of Nigeria. Placing national renewal above personal ambition, he argues, remains the clearest path to stability, growth, and a sustainable future.
