The man whom Political observers describe as part of a new wave of emerging figures seeking to challenge entrenched political structures in Lagos, bringing a mix of private-sector experience, youth-focused ideas, and community-rooted mobilisation is strengthening his ideals and strategies.
He is Lagos state governorship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) – Prince Adelaja Adeoye, has unveiled a bold governance vision anchored on his policy framework titled Better Lagos Agenda 2027 – Atunto Èkó 1.0, as part of efforts to reposition the state towards inclusive prosperity.
In a statement released to the media, Adeoye declared his readiness to deliver a transformative and people-centred administration, emphasising that his ambition is driven by service, innovation, and measurable impact.
According to him, the Better Lagos Agenda 2027 is a carefully developed blueprint designed to “re-engineer Lagos for inclusive prosperity,” serving as the foundation and guiding compass of his proposed administration. The document, he noted, will soon be unveiled to key stakeholders within the party and the wider public.
“We are not coming empty-handed. Our sleeves are already rolled up, ready to hit the ground running with massive work and genuine, people-focused service,” Adeoye stated, projecting confidence in his preparedness for leadership.
Prince Adelaja Adeoye is a seasoned PDP chieftain, media strategist, and real estate entrepreneur with a growing profile in Lagos politics. He holds academic qualifications from the University of Lagos and a Master’s degree in Property Development and Management.
Widely known as “Laja Adeoye,” he previously served as the pioneer Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) before rising to become its National Publicity Secretary. He later returned to the PDP, where he has remained an active voice in party strategy and reform.
Adeoye also contested for a seat in the House of Representatives, representing Oshodi-Isolo, further strengthening his grassroots political engagement.
As part of his ongoing political activities, Adeoye confirmed that his campaign has intensified grassroots engagement across Lagos, including strategic meetings with PDP Local Government Chairmen.
He described the engagements as part of a broader effort to strengthen party structures and ensure inclusivity at all levels, from local governments to ward units. According to him, sustained mobilisation and regular stakeholder consultations will remain central to his campaign strategy.
“Every stakeholder must be carried along. We will continue to deepen our engagement and strengthen our base across all LGAs and wards,” he said.
Reaffirming confidence in his party, Adeoye maintained that the PDP remains the most credible alternative for Lagosians seeking a shift in governance direction.
Adeoye’s campaign message continues to centre on inclusive economic growth, improved infrastructure, job creation, and responsive governance. His broader vision aligns with calls for reforms in housing, transportation, and youth empowerment, areas he believes require urgent and practical solutions.
With the campaign slogan #Laja4BetterLagos2027, the PDP aspirant says his mission is to deliver “a brand new Lagos – a government that truly works for the people and one they will proudly elect.”
Further details of the Better Lagos Agenda 2027 are expected to be made public in the coming weeks as consultations expand across political, civic, and community stakeholders.
