[London] –Bauchi State, under the leadership of His Excellency (Senator) Bala Mohammed, Executive Governor, will take a prominent role at the Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit (NDDIS) in London on March 21, 2025.

Governor Mohammed will join key government officials, including representatives from the Office of the Vice President, the Job Creation and MSMEs Secretariat, and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), at the Nigerian Diaspora MSMEs and Job Creation Roadshow & Investment Summit.

This landmark event aims to stimulate job creation and attract significant investment into Nigeria.

The summit, now in its 13th year, is organized by the NDDIS and led by Chairman and Founder, Prince Bimbo Roberts Folayan.

This year’s focus is on connecting diaspora investors and international businesses with Nigerian agencies and state governments to secure funding for viable projects that promote sustainable economic growth and development in Nigeria.

Bauchi State has already demonstrated its commitment by submitting eight social projects, aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals, seeking funding between $1 million and $500 million.
“This summit is a crucial platform for connecting the Nigerian diaspora with investment opportunities back home,” said Prince Bimbo Roberts Folayan. “We are excited to have Bauchi State take a leading role this year, showcasing their commitment to development and attracting much-needed investment.”

A press statement issued by NDDIS Media Managers, Ms. Doyin Ola and Mrs. Maureen Layokun, encourages diaspora SME owners to submit their projects for consideration for funding from philanthropic organizations. In addition to Bauchi State, representatives from Benue, Katsina, Imo, Ekiti and Enugu States are also expected to participate. Key Nigerian government agencies, including the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEXIM, Bank of Industry, Industrial Training Fund, Federal Inland Revenue Service, and the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, will also be present.
