The funeral committee, consisting of family and friends, wish to thank everyone for their condolence messages and overwhelming outpouring of emotions.
While the burial date is yet to be announced, arrangements are already in the pipeline for the burial ceremony to take place within the next couple of weeks.
We are exploring every possibilities by which to accommodate everyone that may wish to participate and pay their last respects. However, we do need to recognise the reality that the funeral is likely to be faced with restrictions due to the partial lockdown situation at this point in time.
We do understand the extent and reach of Dapo’s network of friends and influence; as a result, we are proposing to use virtual platforms to maximum effects in providing full life coverage of all the burial events through Zoom, YouTube, Television broadcasts and any other appropriate media.
For Health and Safety reasons, we are currently seeking to reduce the numbers of visits to Dapo’s house for condolence visits. As a result, we do encourage members of the public to continue to use various virtual platforms set up, to express their feelings and pay their condolences, but limit or reduce their visitations to the family home, unless it is absolutely necessary.
We seek to observe public health and safety protocols relating to Covid-19, during visits and the actual burial event, by eliminating and limiting any hazards or risks of exposure of the family and friends to the risk of any infection.
Visitors should stay no longer than 1 hour, wear face masks and use hand sanitisers that are provided. Condolence visit hours are restricted to 5pm and 8pm daily.
We will roll out further details of the burial as we have them.
We ask that you continue to hold the family in your thoughts and prayers.
