The Senator representing Imo west senatorial district in Nigeria’s Senate and a former Governor of Imo State Owelle Rochas Okorocha has charged the administration of President Buhari to do more in finding a lasting solution to the challenges posed by insecurity in the country.
He made the call during the normal breaking of fast which Rochas Foundation has been doing since the beginning of the Ramadan fasting in Abuja. This time during the hosting of physically challenged people in ‘Unity House’ office.
His words, “you can’t solve a problem unless you know the causative. The cause of our Nigerian problem lies in injustice and poverty and the quicker government moves to address the issue of injustice, the better it is for our nation to reduce the level of anger on the nation”.
“If abuses and anger could have helped this nation; I’m sure by now we would have solved this problem. So we must change our style as a nation, imbibe the spirit of brotherhood, prayers and love”, he said.
He called on the government to be opened to wider dialogue and appealing to Nigerians to be patience.
“Yes things are not okay with our nation. Yes, we have big challenges but we must never give up on this nation called Nigeria and I believe a new Nigeria will soon be born”, he added.
