Edo Election: We ‘ll Work With All Security Agencies To Ensure Peace, says Danes

HRH, Alhaji Danesi Aliu Kelvin , Oba Danesi 11 of Aidonogie of South Ibie Kingdom has pleaded with the people of Edo State to be law abiding and eshew all manners of violence as they go to the poll today.

He made this known when Giant Women in Media, led by Clementina Olomu paid him a courtesy visit in his palace in Auchi. Danesi pleads with the people in his domain and the state to work with all security agencies to ensure peace.

He said they should comply with all the rules of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ) to ensure that the election is peaceful. According to him, nobody should ferment any trouble, he warned.

“Everybody should be law abiding and then wait for the result.” He said, contrary to the believe that monarchs are partisans, Danesi said, nobody consulted me. “no monarch will do other wise as far as election is concern, but working with government

Danesi who has spent 25 years on the throne, says the current administration, led by governor Godwin Obaseki has done their best, he prayed for the state to have a governor to improve on what they have done. Whoever comes to power should be able to improve on what has been done.

Answering questions on if he has any platform used in educating people in his domain on election matters,
He said there are platforms available, ”this we do from time to time, most especially, when electron like this is in the process, what we normally do, we can’t gather every body, we gather those leading the parties at the local levels, we invite all of them, and appeal to them to caution their followers, most especially the vibrant youths, that election is not about violence, but peace”.

He said: ” even the man they are fighting for, if he wins and there is no peace, he won’t be able to govern.”

Danesi prayed that, God gives the people the wisdom to elect the best amongst the candidates, someone who can improve on what this present governor has done, he noted.
