DIASPORA Voting & 2023: Group Takes Campaign to NTA Headquarters, Calls for Inclusive Discussions.
A group from the Diaspora under the banner of NIDMECORP visiting Nigeria on a leadership and interventions information gathering and meetings with the potentials leaders towards 2023 visited Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) to further create awareness and and emphasize the need for a holistic approach towards diaspora inclusion in critical decision making across the country.
The Initiator and facilitator of the visit Mentoring Cmdt Alistair said, the main call for the courtesy is to intimate the NTA Director General and the authority on the push for a united Nigeria, where peace and justice reigns. Solely, too to seek their support of the interests of Diaspora towards constant discussions on the benefits of Diaspora Voting Rights.
In his response, the Director General, Mal Muhammad I. Yakubu thanked the team for their believes in the entity of Nigeria and their contribution in the fields of health and media among others not just in Nigeria but globally.
He informed the delegate that NTA is without any doubt the biggest network in Africa and are happy to support the aspirations of the various Diaspora groups and organisations.
He went on to remind the team that the Federal Government in her good thoughts, saw to the establishment of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission led by Hon. ABIKE DABIRI EREWA, who had many years ago worked with the NTA.
He assured the Diaspora that NTA is there for them and will provide all the necessary requirements needed within their resources.
Members in the group in Nigeria are and included:
Mentoring Cmdt Alistair; Dr. Kingsman Chikelu from Congo, and a Chairman of a Nigerian Diaspora group; Mal Bala Sanusi and Prince Benedict.
In the NTA Management are: The Director General, Mal Yakubu; Directors- Engr Wole Coker, ED Marketing, Ed News and Special Assistant Special Duties among others
