Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) holds no political relevance in Kano State, describing the party as “dead on arrival” due to internal crises and lack of popular support.
This was contained in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, on Sunday.
The governor made the remarks while addressing a large crowd of supporters in Kano shortly after returning from Abuja, where he participated in key political engagements.

The governor emphasised that Kano remains firmly under the control of the ruling political structure, backed by overwhelming support from the people.

He urged supporters to remain united, vigilant, and committed to consolidating the gains recorded under his administration.
Gov. Yusuf also reassured the crowd of his administration’s dedication to delivering on its promises, stressing that governance and development remain top priorities.
We will rally solid support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and I am very optimistic that APC will, in sha Allah, win all elective positions in 2027,” he said.
“Our partnership with the Federal Government has already been yielding positive results, with interventions in infrastructure and social safety initiatives. We will deliver APC with a landslide victory,” the governor added.
