Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodinma seems to be a man on a mission. He was without much doubt the least expected to secure victory at the polls, but such is the virtue of calling in his path. One without hope is classified as lost.

One with strong hope is ably capable to succeed as he briefed newsmen that all is set for President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the state on Thursday, Sept. 9 at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, on Saturday.

Citizens always seek for plans to prosper their lives and not to be weaken, which gives the hope for a better future.

How is the Imo people’s hope? Does it fulfil their desires for a better state in this global pandemic or otherwise?

It is with this ethos that while Nigeria’s President has not been seen around the country, is a major achievement to get the president to South-East for commissioning new projects to show what the Governor has been doing since his victory and as governor of Imo State. When the people are facing various challenging tests and sometimes can find it a challenge to find hope does it becomes beneficial.

Governor Senator Hope is there standing and so far is making waves also at the party’s change of fortunes such as attracting major political players who are defecting from the main opposition party into the APC. The party will testify that indeed Hope is on the rise and have surely brought encouragement and refreshment to many.

Speaking on his return to Owerri from visiting the seat of Nigeria’s National Government in Abuja, Senator Hope said that President Buhari would be in Imo state to commission a number of “significant projects” on Thursday, September 9^th 2021.

Adding his visit to Abuja was to deliberate and address “address some political matters and some critical issues that are supposed to be handled in Abuja.”

“I secured approval of President Muhammadu Buhari to visit Imo State on Thursday, September 9, 2021, to commission some significant projects put together by the Shared Prosperity Administration.”

He also shared the relevance of the state’s potential in getting Federal Government’s assistance on the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management (NEWMAP) projects by the World Bank programmes on rural roads, ecological programmes, and other erosion control issues.

“More to that, Imo has been able to attract additional support from Mr President on management of some ecological problems in the state,’’ he added.

Hope motivates people to pursue better well-being, encourage good living standards, such as the ability to inspire quality leadership and developments. This not only helps to enhance people’s hope for a better tomorrow, but it gives them the ability to gauge, monitor and decide future growth and living standards.

Speaking on his assignment as the Chairman, All Progressive Congress Campaign Council for the Anambra State November 6, 2021 governorship election, Governor Hope acknowledged the recognition and importance of the role bestowed on him and assured of providing the necessary tools to convince voters in Anambra State to vote for APC and the benefits that comes with it.

“The Southeast desire is to join the national politics and those of us in the committee are doing our best to convince our people in Anambra State that we will be better for it if they are in APC. Joining the party at the centre will enable the Southeast leaders to manage the welfare and trust of their people better.” The Senator said:  

Adding that, “The Southeast has suffered a great deal of marginalization. The Southeast has been excluded in many things, the reason being that Nigeria is practising partisan democracy, and once you are with the ruling party, there are some advantages you will get outside those who are not in that party. This is no longer a secret.”

Finally concluding with a hopeful call on the people of South-East and especially Anambra state to align with the APC, as such for “those who support the party at the centre will get both their rights and their privileges”.
