Gov. Uba Sani’sadministration in Kaduna state as of March 2026 has achieved major milestones, including pioneering a Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone, partnering with Afreximbank for an export quality center, and distributing 900 trucks of fertilizer. Key progress includes upgrading 255 health centers, building 65+ schools, and boosting agricultural funding to 11%.

Key Achievements & Highlights (March 2026) are :-

Agriculture & Economy:

First state to break ground on a Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone.

Partnered with Afreximbank to build the Africa Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC) for export certification.

Distributed 900 trucks of fertilizer free to smallholder farmers.

Increased agriculture budget from 0.5% (2023) to over 11%.

Attracted $503 million in investments and secured 4 Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs).

Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) increased from 62 billion to over 71 billion naira.

Education & Human Capital:

Built 65+ new secondary schools and renovated over 2,300 classrooms.

Reduced out-of-school children from 580,000 (2023) to approximately 182,000.

Reduced tuition fees in state-owned tertiary institutions by 50%.

Established 3 modern vocational institutes.

Infrastructure & Health:

Upgraded all 255 primary healthcare centers from Level 1 to Level 2.

Renovated and equipped 16 secondary healthcare facilities.

Initiated construction of 62 new roads (over 780 km).

Partnered with Qatar Charity for mass housing projects.

Security & Technology:

Distributed 150 patrol vehicles and 500 motorcycles to security agencies.

Signed MoU with Huawei for a Smart City project to improve security and efficiency.

Governor Uba Sani credited these achievements to the support of President Bola Tinubu and noted that the state has increased its focus on rural development and empowering smallholder farmers.
