Chief mrs olajumoke popoola has been installed as the yeyemokun of owu kingdom as part of activities marking the 1st year Coronation anniversary ceremony of oba professor Saka Adelola Matemilola on the throne of his forefathers.

The colorful event took place at the palace of Olowu of Owu KINGDOM, Abeokuta and witnessed by Dignitaries from far and near.

While welcoming sons and daughters of owu kingdom and other Dignitaries to the historical occasion , The chairman coronation planing committee, the oganla of owu kingdom chief, Olu Fatoki felicitated with everyone present at the occasion for being part of the event which also coincided with kabiyesi’s birthday, and launching of the palace project development fund.

Some eminent Owu sons and daughters were thereafter installed with various beffiting Chieftaincy titles among whom were chief Mrs Olajumoke Popoola as Yeyemokun of Owu.

speaking at the occasion described the newly installed Yeyemokun ,Chief Mrs Olajumoke Popoola as an illustrious daughter of owu KINGDOM, who has contributed immensely and still contributing to the development of Owu kingdom both home and abroad .

The new YEYEMOKUN OF OWU KINGDOM , Abeokuta is a successful UK registered nurse who has meritoriously served different NHS trust in London hospitals from 2005 and voluntarily retired in 2012 but remained in flexibility working as psychiatric nurse till date in United kingdom.

She was installed iyalode Apomu owu in January 2013 by the immediate past Olowu. Oba Dr Olusanya Dosunmu ,Amororo 11.
