In a significant administrative move, Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has appointed 1,075 aides within a span of 24 hours.

Governor Kefas, who assumed office with a vision of harnessing Taraba’s rich resources and transforming the state, has expanded his team to accelerate development efforts. The new appointees will serve in various capacities including special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants, constituency special assistants, community special assistants, and members of boards, commissions, and agencies of the Taraba State government.
This announcement was made in a statement released to the press and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Gebon Kataps.
These latest appointments come in addition to the 195 aides previously approved by the governor, who are yet to receive their portfolios. This brings the total number of Governor Kefas’s aides to 1,270.
Governor Kefas’s cabinet also includes 22 commissioners and five special advisers with designated portfolios, reflecting his commitment to inclusive and efficient governance.
Since taking office, Governor Kefas has been focused on leveraging Taraba State’s abundant natural and human resources to foster economic growth and improve the quality of life for its citizens. This strategic expansion of his administrative team underscores his dedication to achieving these goals.
