As Nigeria marks another milestone of Independence Day, the Nigerian Community Leeds UK (NCL), a registered charity, proudly invites the public to join in commemorating Nigeria’s Independence Day alongside the Nigerian National Cultural Day Celebration 2025.

The event will be held on Saturday 4th October 2025 at Aria Suite, Woodhouse Street, Leeds, LS6 2JH from 3PM to 11PM.

According to a press release signed by the Chairman of Nigerian Community Leeds UK, Mr Ben Izuagie, this year’s theme, “Together We Make a Difference,” reflects the spirit of Independence celebrating unity, resilience, and cultural pride, while embracing the strength of diversity both within the Nigerian community and the wider society.

The programme will feature:
• Independence Day Anniversary highlights
• Vibrant cultural performances
• Excel @ NCL Children’s showcase
• Fashion show
• Music by DJ FWESH, one of the UK’s best DJs
• Traditional Nigerian foods and drinks

The celebration promises to be a colourful gathering of families, friends, and community leaders, honouring Nigeria’s heritage while promoting togetherness, inclusivity, and a renewed sense of pride in our cultural identity.
