The leadership of the Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil, Gas and Pipeline Impacted Communities (HOSCON) has congratulated the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas following their inauguration.
In a statement in Abuja yesterday and made available to the Press, HOSCON Executive National Chairman, Prince Dr. Mike Emuh, noted the challenges facing the nation at the moment of their inauguration but was optimistic that both leaders of the National Assembly possess the leadership character and experience to navigate the course of legislative responsibilities towards national socio-economic and political renewal.
He enjoined members of the 10th National Assembly to join hands with the new leaders in addressing the daunting task of rebuilding the nation for a new lease of life for the people.
“This is a momentous time in our national history with great promise and we rejoice with you.
“With both executive and legislative leadership experience, we are confident that you will lead the National Assembly to greater heights.
“Although the task ahead is daunting in view of our national challenges, we have no doubt in our minds that your leadership character and experience will make a difference for the betterment of all Nigerians.
“On our part, we are committed to supporting the Federal Government along the path of reviving the economy, stoppage of oil theft, pipeline vandalisation, illegal refinery and creating an enabling environment for the IOCs, LOCs, NNPC, SPDC etc to attain greater productivity.”
“Your Excellencies, please accept our warm congratulations and best wishes for your success as you take up the responsibilities and challenges of your high offices”, Emuh stated.
