It was happy moment for Engr. Abdulrazaq Abdu when friends and staff of National Board for Technology Incubation, NBTI, gathered to the celebrate with him during a send forth party organised to bid him farewell on his retirement.
The event which took place at a location in Abuja has in attendance, Director of Operations, Hajia Hussaina Bakari and host of other colleagues in NBTI.
Speaking at the event, the Director of Operations, Hajia Hussaina Bakari while presenting a gift to the celebrant tasked staff of NBTI to plan for their retirement, noting that the act became necessary because it would in no small measure enhance their standard of living after retirement.
He urged them to invest in meaning venture that would help in augmenting their monthly pension, explaining that retirement comes with a lot of challenges if proper planning was not made.
Mrs Bakari used the opportunity to encourage civil servants more especially junior ones to make early plan in anticipation of their retirement.
On their various contributions, some colleague of the retiree showered encomiums on the celebrant describing him as a mentor, leader and God fearing civil servant who always seek God’s guidance through prayers.
Responding, Engr Abdulrazaq Abdu an Assistant Director in NBTI expressed his gratitude to God for giving him the opportunity to end his carreer successful in good health just as he appreciated the NBTI family for the all the good things done to him.
Engr Abdulrazaq called on junior officers to continue to serve the organisation with commitment and dedication even as he enjoined them to always abide by civil service regulations.
