President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians, especially Muslim faithful, to use the Eid-el-Maulud celebration to pray for peace, national unity and an end to insecurity across the country.
In his Eid-el-Maulud message, the President urged Muslims to reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), describing the Prophet as a model of devotion, perseverance, humility, tolerance and selflessness.
President Tinubu encouraged religious leaders to use the occasion to promote peace, patriotism and national unity, while urging worshippers to put the Prophet’s teachings into practice through acts of compassion and service to the nation.
He also appealed to Nigerians to remember the less privileged by extending kindness and support to the needy, saying such acts reflect the true spirit of the Maulud celebration.
The President further called for sustained prayers for Nigeria, asking citizens to seek divine intervention against insecurity and other challenges facing parts of the country.
