As the Year gradually winds down, The Nigeria Armed Forces and other security agencies have continued their major operations across the country with vigour.
Briefing Newsmen In Abuja to give update on some of its operations at different theatre across the country between November 12 and 18, Coordinator Defence Media operations Major General John Enenche said in the week under review Troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI and other subsidiary operations have sustained their clearance operation in the North-West zone of the country aggressively which led to neutralizing 3 armed bandits and recovery of 3 AK 47 Riffles in Yar Tasha Village and the rescue of one kidnap victim Adamu Yahaya which was kidnapped in at Ungunwa Sa’ida village in Faskari Area all in Katsina state.
Also in the Northwest regions the troop arrested several bandits, kidnappers, terrorists and their collaborators cutting across Kaduna Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara state.
General Enenche added that The gallant troops have continued to dominate the general area with aggressive, confidence building and aerial patrols to deny bandits freedom of action.
Speaking on operations in the North East for the period under review, General Enenche said several operations carried out by the troops in the region led to successful neutralisation of terrorist elements and makers of Improvised Explosive Devices IEDs and recovery of several cache of arms and ammunition, adding that the troop also repelled attacks from Boko Haram Terrorists and ISWAP members destroying their logistics facilities in Borno Atate.
The troops also recorded success in different theatre of operations in the North Central and South South zones where operation Safe Haven and Operation while stroke conducted attacks at identified criminal hideouts where 9 members armed robbery gang was arrested in the North Central and Operation Delta Safe in the south south also recorded successes in fighting crude oil theft, recovery of smuggled rice and other petroleum products in the region.
Conclusively General Enenche said the Military High command enjoined the general public to continue provide timely information on the activities of criminals in their various localities to the military and other security agencies for prompt and effective action.
