The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) has launched a Community Incubation programme in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), specifically in Bwari Area Council, to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
Director General and Chief Executives Officer of NBTI, Dr. Patricia Uchenna Chukwu while launching the programme in Bwari Area council of FCT, said the program is aimed at empowering individuals with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to transform innovative ideas into thriving businesses, provide a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to network, collaborate, and receive mentorship from seasoned experts
The DG who was represented by her Director of Operations, Mrs Hussaina Bakari noted that the program will provide a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to network, collaborate, and receive mentorship from seasoned experts.
According to her, “We believe that by nurturing local talent and supporting homegrown businesses, we can create a sustainable and prosperous future for Bwari and its people.
“The dedicated staff of NBTI, who are the backbone of this program, are eager to share their expertise and work closely with you to achieve our shared goals.
They will provide comprehensive training in areas such as business planning, financial management, marketing, access to central facility workshop/equipment, quality control laboratory, business support and technology.
“Additionally, they will offer ongoing support and guidance to help you navigate the challenges of starting and growing a business. I urge you all to embrace this opportunity with enthusiasm and dedication. Let us work together to create a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bwari, where innovation flourishes and businesses prosper.
“By harnessing the power of technology and entrepreneurship, we can unlock the immense potential of this community and contribute to the overall development of our nation.
Bwari Area council Chairman, Represented by his Deputy Hon. Aminu Gumel Commended the Agency for chosing the Council, noting that initiative will bring development and reduce unemployment in the community.
He urged all indigenes and residence of Bwari Area council to take advantage of the program inorder to grow their respective businesses.
