President, Abia State Indigenes in Diaspora, ABSIDA UK, Mazi Godson Azu has commended the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti for his developmental strides just few months in power, saying the impacts are readily accessible to all in the state.
Mazi Azu made this known in statement made available to newsmen in Umuahia when he visited the state alongside Lady Bar. Favour Obi, Legal Adviser ABSIDA UK, as part of the Abia State Diaspora Leadership Delegation in the State.
The delegation from ABSIDA UK said they were present at the commissioning of the Retrofitted General Hospital in Amachara, Umuahia South LGA, Abia State Specialist and Diagnostic Centre Umuahia, with the adjoining fully refurbished Specialist Eye Clinic, with both social health intervention centres completed under four months of the new administration , which goes a long way to show the determination of Dr. Alex Otti and his medical team to improve the health facilities around the state, and the wellbeing of NdiAbia.
“We are highly impressed with what we saw on the ground at both centres. We also attended the flag off, of a new road construction at Ossia Ibeku, the Michael Opara Square to Tower Gate road, which is going to be a new six-lane road, flagged off by the Executive Governor of Abia State His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti OFR, is expected to be completed soon.
“The Governor was well applauded by the indigenes and residents of the area, for fulfilling his promise to full compensate all the owners of the affected buildings along the part of the new extended road, a 3,6Km long road, when he announced at the ceremony that the full compensation money has been made available by his government. The road when completed would ease off traffic, and open new access into Umuahia capital city, with a better inspirational look.
“At both ceremonies we were well received by our able Hon. Commissioners, Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo, Hon. Commissioner for Health and Hon. Sir. Nwaobilo Ananaba, Hon. Commissioner for Youths and Sports, also the Hon. Commissioner for Works. and the Hon. Commissioner for Lands”.
