*PROFILE*
*H. E Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh* is High Commissioner for Sierra Leone to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with accreditation as non-resident Ambassador to six other countries. Before his current appointment, he was Sierra Leone’s Minister of Mines and Marine Resources.
In an earlier life, Dr Manyeh served as a univerty don for more than thirty years in the University of Sierra Leone, Njala University and visiting Professor, University of Alberta, Canada. During this period, Dr Manyeh served with distinction as a member of Senate and Court, University of Sierra Leone, Member, Board of Trustees, the West African Examinations Council, Member of the Board of the Bank Sierra Leone; and Host, National Television, for the National Commission for Democracy. He also served as consultant to various national and international Institutions including the African Development Bank, the World Bank, and the United Nations. His focus as an academic was in the area of communication skills and language use and usage in socio-political discourse.
Dr Manyeh is well known in Sierra Leonean political circles as a man of Peace and Tranquillity. His lifelong commitment to societal harmony and peaceful coexistence is generally regarded as a personal trademark. In April 2022, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) recognised him as an “Ambassador for Peace.”
At this event, he will be honored along other African Leaders for his *Excellence In Leadership & Outstanding Diplomat in Nation Building and Economic Cooperation*. He will be Inducted as a *DISTINGUISHED FELLOW* of the *Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance (CIPG), USA*
