There was widespread jubilation on tuesday at the Timber Market area in Zango Daji as residents received a brand new 500KVA transformer provided by the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Delivered through the Ministry of Rural and Energy Development, the installation comes less than a week after the governor’s initial promise, highlighting his administration’s rapid response to community needs.

Speaking at the event the Honourable Commissioner for Rural and Energy Development who was represented by the ministry’s Technical Adviser Mallam Isah Husseini thanked His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for keeping his promise and his unwavering commitment to the people of Kogi State.

He further urged the community to take collective ownership of the transformer by protecting it from vandalism and ensuring it is properly maintained.

During the delivery, a resident of the area Mrs. Ajayi expressed deep gratitude to the governor for swiftly fulfilling his commitment. Another resident, Mr. Ojo, echoed these enchomium on Governor Ododo, noting that businesses paralyzed by the recent blackout will now be able to bounce back to normal business .

Also , same 500KVA transformer gesture was replicated at crusher area of Lokoja , With many residents among whom are students expressing their joy and gratitude to the governor. Stating that the new transformer will make their studying more easier for them and will further help in enhancing the security of the area.
