Nigeria’s one time former Speaker of the House of Representatives, The Rt. Hon. Sabur Dimeji Bankole married Friday 15 January 2021 the daughter of the Governor of Kebbi State, His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Bagudu and Her Excellency Hajiya Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, Miss Aisha Shinkafi Saidu.
Hon. Bankole, has been divorced from his first wife in 2017.
Miss Aisha is a lawyer and a diaspora graduate of the University of Hull in the UK. As a daughter of Governor Bagudu, is also the granddaughter of late onetime head of Nigeria’s security organisation, Marafan Sokoto, Alhaji Umaru Shinkafi whose daughter is the bride’s mother and a sister to HE Alh Aliyu Shinkafi, the former Governor of Zamfara State.
Hon. Bankole family hailed from Iporo, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Bankole served as the 9th speaker of the House of Representatives in Nigeria as was elected at 37 and the youngest speaker in the history of Nigeria.
The Governor of Sokoto did the introduction few weeks ago.
