*****Begins Distribution in 177 Wards in Ekiti State
The Chairman of Southern Senators Forum, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has began distribution of bags of rice and other gifts to all indigenes of Ekiti state in 177 wards ahead of Christmas celebration.
Opeyemi in a statement issued by the media Office directed that the Christmas gifts must be distributed to everyone that shows up at the distribution centers across the state.
According to the statement, the distribution of rice and other gifts should not be misconstrued as the campagin strategy , but as fundamental principle upon which Christmas is predicated which all about sharing and giving.
The statement reads in part, “The spirit of the season requires every one of us to give out, share love and happiness.
“Based on this fundamental and social tradition Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele is embarking on sharing of Christmas gifts across the Sixteen Local Government Areas in Ekiti State.
“The distribution itself is however not limited to party members alone as it is targeted at the right sector of the social order who may not be able to comprehend the demands and pressure of the moment.
“The distribution is done through the Ward Chairmen and Local Government Chairmen who represent the general public to ascertain appropriateness in distribution. These are the pickup points and people should take advantage of them and share with MOB in this period of Christmas.”
