The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the gruesome murder of retired Ogun State Television (OGTV) staff member, Ms Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard.
A reliable source within the command disclosed that one of the suspects, identified as a former employee of the deceased, is believed to have masterminded the killings.
According to the source, the suspect confessed during interrogation that he was dissatisfied with the remuneration he received while working for Ms Oyesiku.
He then enlisted the assistance of two accomplices to carry out the crime.
Investigators were said to have recovered a note left behind by the perpetrators at the scene of the incident, which aided the ongoing investigations.
The source further revealed that the suspected mastermind is a former student of a polytechnic in Ogun State.
The lifeless bodies of Ms Oyesiku and her security guard were discovered on Sunday after members of her church became concerned when she failed to attend service and could not be reached.
The church members subsequently visited her residence, where the tragic discovery was made.
