The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) is set to revolutionize the global innovation scene with the NextGen Innovation Challenge 2025. On October 9, 2025, 105 pioneering Nigerian innovators will converge at the Hilton London Paddington for the Grand Finale, showcasing cutting-edge solutions in various fields.

According to Dr. Raji Kazeem Kolawole, Director General/CEO of NBTI, the event will bring together global investors, policymakers, and development partners, featuring Innovation Pitches with 105 innovators with scalable, investable solutions.

He noted that the event aims to achieve significant outcomes, including: Signing of MOUs for renewable energy and clean growth projects; Direct connections between Nigerian innovators and international investors; and Launch of the NBTI Global App, linking Nigerian innovation to diaspora markets and global investors.

He further gave an insight on the Innovation Highlights which includes
HealthTech (A smart wearable Bra-X for early breast cancer detection and a ventilator capable of supporting six patients simultaneously), AgriTech (AI-controlled drones for precision farming and pest control), Clean Energy (Affordable solutions for underserved communities) and FinTech (Next-generation applications for inclusive finance).

“This initiative is part of a national movement aimed at connecting grassroots ingenuity with global capital and catalyzing a new generation of entrepreneurial problem-solvers. With a focus on inclusivity, the challenge is open to innovators from all 774 local government areas in Nigeria, providing a platform for young talents to shine on the global stage”.

The event will feature an Awards & Recognition Ceremony for standout innovators and partners.
