The Mayor of London, Mr. Sadiq Khan had today decided to removed the congestion charge.
From 2022, London drivers and car owners will not have to pay the congestion charge at night. The charge has affected many businesses within the West Ends.
Though the daily rate and cost still stands, the Mayor announced the suspension of the daily levy of £15 – will not apply between Christmas day and January 3, 2022.
The new approval time also changes from 2022 back to 7am to 6pm and NOT 10PM again during the week from February 21, 2022.
Mr. Khan added that this is to, “support families and visitors over the festive period”
The weekends times will operate from 12 midday to 6pm at weekends and on bank holidays.
