ABUJA, Nigeria – The All Progressives Congress (APC) says it has intensified preparations for the forthcoming Osun State Governorship Election following a strategic meeting of its National Campaign Council held on Monday in Abuja.

The meeting, which took place at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge, brought together members of the party’s national leadership, campaign council and other key stakeholders to review campaign preparations, strengthen organisational structures and coordinate activities ahead of the poll.

According to the party, discussions focused on voter mobilisation, grassroots engagement, media strategy, election-day logistics and campaign messaging, with various sub-committees directed to commence implementation of agreed action plans.

The session was chaired by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who also chairs the APC Governors’ Forum, while Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin coordinated proceedings as Secretary of the Campaign Council.

Among those in attendance were Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance; Prince Ade Omole, Chairman of the Nigeria Diaspora Voting Council and Renewed Hope Global Advocate; Minister of Women Affairs, Hon. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim; APC Deputy National Woman Leader, Hon. Zainab Ibrahim; Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Dr Kayode Opeifa; APC National Youth Leader, Dr Dayo Israel, alongside members of the National Working Committee, serving and former governors, ministers, National Assembly members, youth and women leaders, and other senior party stakeholders.

During the meeting, party leaders expressed confidence in the APC’s prospects in the forthcoming election, citing what they described as the party’s record of governance and commitment to development. They also called on members to remain united, disciplined and focused throughout the campaign.

The APC further stated that the Osun governorship election provides an opportunity for voters to support the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Party leaders emphasised the importance of unity and collective responsibility, urging members at all levels to work together towards a successful campaign.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants expressed optimism about the party’s chances and reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing victory in the Osun governorship election.

The strategy session ended with the APC declaring that its campaign structures had been fully activated as it prepares for the electoral contest in Osun State.
