Member representing Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi federal constituency, Hon Amobi Ogah has once again call on President Bola Tinubu to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention.
He made the call when he visited the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Oti in his home town in Isiala Ngwa LGA of Abia State.
Hon Ogah who is also the Chairman, House Committee on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, ask the President to show love to Ndi-Igbo to releasing the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which according to him will reduce insecurity in the south east.
“The insecurity in the South East is as a result of prolong detention of Kanu. We don’t know who is behind the attacked in the region, almost all groups have denied been responsible for the attacks.
“give us Nnamdi Kanu as a gift, release him for us to know who is behind insecurity in the South East region.
“The only way the President can show Ndi-Igbo love is releasing Nnamdi Kanu to us”.
IPOB in August 2021, introduced a sit-at-home order every Monday across the South-east to pressure the Nigerian government to release its detained leader, Mr Kanu, who is standing trial for alleged terrorism at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
