2027: Makinde to Inaugurate Oyo APM Presidential, Governorship Campaign Council Friday

Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, will on Friday inaugurate the party’s Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general election.

The inauguration is scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office, Ibadan, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju.

The statement named the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the state Governorship Campaign Council.

Saheed Arowosaye, former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, was appointed Deputy State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign.

Also appointed are the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Demola Ojo, as Deputy Director-General (South), while Dr. Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal will serve as Deputy Directors-General for Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts, respectively.

Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo was named Director of the Women’s Wing, while Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, a former Special Assistant on Youth to Governor Makinde, will head the Youth Wing as Director.

The statement added that additional members of the campaign council would be announced in due course.
