The American International School of Abuja (AISA) which is in the neck of money laundering against Kogi State former governor, Yahaya Bello vs EFCC has agreed to refund $760,910.80 paid to the school by the wanted former governor of Kogi State.
The EFCC accursed him of taken government fund to provide for his private lifestyle such as paying more than $720,000 for his children who in grade levels 2 to 8 at the school.
In a letter to the EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Commander, AISA reportedly admitted receiving the $845,852.84 payment from the Bello family starting on September 7, 2021.
The school said deducting fees for “educational services rendered,” the balance of $760,910.80 should be refunded to EFCC.
The letter reads, “We have calculated the net amount to be transferred and refunded to the state, after deducting the educational services rendered as $760,910.84 (Seven Hundred and Sixty Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ten U.S Dollars and Eighty-Four Cents).”
