Over one hundred women in Kogi State have been empowered by Dr. Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, Secretary to the Kogi state government and founder of Folashade Ayoade initiative for widows and orphans in collaboration with make me elegant foundation.
Speaking to the beneficiary women, Dr. Ayoade confirmed that the gesture is to celebrate fifty years birthday of the former governor and APC leader in the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello ,who has served the people and the State meritoriously and also to give the widows voice in the society.
She encouraged women to always go extra miles in bringing up their children to be responsible citizens regardless of their status above all to be prayerful.
The founder of Folashade Ayoade widows and orphans initiative in an interview appreciated the former governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the incumbent governor Alhaji Usman Ododo for giving her the opportunity to serve the state which has further enables her to fulfil her spiritual mandate of helping the less privileged within and outside the State.
Founder , make mee Radiant foundation revealed that the foundation is ready to support Folashade Ayoade widows and orphans initiative (FAIWO) in its quest to uplift the widows and orphans in the society now and in future.
Some of the beneficiaries, friend and an orphan while speaking with journalists showered encomium on Dr. Folashade Ayoade for her humanitarian gesture and prayed that God shall continually strengthen her and bless her more for the betterment of mankind.
Over hundred Widows present at the ceremony were trained on cloth beading, weaving of aso oke as well as tie and dye, while food and various upliftment items and cash were distributed and presented to the beneficiaries.
The Secretary to the government of Kogi state ,Pastor Dr. Mrs Folashade Arike Ayoade. Is a seasoned administrator par excellence and longest serving SGS in Kogi state and possibly one of the longest serving in Nigeria.
