The political landscape in Bauchi State received a major boost on Monday 6th July, 2026 as stakeholders across Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro and Dass Federal Constituency unanimously endorsed Engr. Noah Dallaji as their preferred candidate to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was made during a series of stakeholders’ meetings held across the three local government areas, where traditional leaders, party faithful, youth groups, women representatives and community stakeholders expressed confidence in Dallaji’s leadership capacity and commitment to grassroots development.
Speaking during the meetings, the stakeholders described Dallaji as a tested leader with a track record of philanthropy, empowerment and community service, insisting that the constituency deserves a representative who understands the needs of the people and can effectively champion their interests at the National Assembly.
The gatherings also witnessed a wave of defections, with more than 100 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) dumping the party for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
The defectors said their decision was informed by what they described as Dallaji’s inclusive leadership style, accessibility and unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of the people.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, the group pledged total loyalty to the APM and vowed to mobilise support across the constituency to ensure victory for the party in the 2027 elections.
They assured that they would work tirelessly to deliver the governorship candidate, the senatorial candidate and Engr. Noah Dallaji as the next member representing Tafawa Balewa/Bogoro/Dass Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Responding to the endorsement, Engr. Dallaji expressed appreciation to the people for the confidence reposed in him, describing the overwhelming support as both humbling and inspiring.
He pledged to sustain consultations with all segments of the constituency and promised to pursue people-oriented legislation, attract meaningful development projects and ensure effective representation if elected.
Political observers believe the endorsement and the mass defection have further strengthened Dallaji’s political standing, positioning him as one of the leading contenders for the House of Representatives seat as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
