Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters on Tuesday gave kudos to President Muhammadu Buhari for the nominations of competent Members into Federal Judicial Commission.
President Buhari had in January nominated Nnamonso Ekanem (SAN) and Mahmud Abubakar Magaji, (SAN) as members of Federal Judicial Service Commission.
At the screening of nominees on Tuesday, All members of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters Commended President Buhari for the nominations.of both Mahmud and Nnamonso as members of Federal Judicial Service Commission.
The Chairman of the Committee, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele specifically said that the nominees will be a strong addition to the Federal Judicial Service Commission.
In his opening remarks , Senator Bamidele said that the nominations were made by President Buhari in pursuant to section 154, subsection (1) and (3), in conformity with paragraph 12 (e)of the third scheduled to the Constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria .
Speaking earlier, another member of the Committee, Senator Gabriel Suswan disclosed that the nomination of both Mahmud and Nnamonso is one of the best nominations so far by President Buhari.
