PROFESSOR PAULINE LONG READY TO BRING CHANGE TO NOLLYWOOD AS THE NEWLY APPOINTED INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANT

Serial entrepreneur and philanthropist Professor Pauline Long has become the first personality to be appointed by the Nollywood industry as their International Consultant for AGN (Actors Guild of Nigeria) for Europe, U.K, America and Asia.

This is a major role that will enable the steadfast media mogul to source much needed funds required in the Nollywood industry.

Nollywood is the second largest film industry in the world in terms of production with thousands of films put out annually.

Reflecting on her new role, Professor Long expressed her thoughts with passion, she said, “Nollywood has become a major player in the global film business and it’s time to inject big funds through investors and grant providers who are keen to be part of the growing socio economic trend that we are now witnessing in this sector.”

She added, “I take this role very seriously and it is no doubt currently my number one priority. I’m deeply honoured that President Dr Ejezie Emeka Rollas of AGN saw it fit to bestow this great opportunity on me. Together we are going to effect change and impact lives positively.”

The news arrived with huge expectations and has been received with great enthusiasm among her peers across the globe who sent congratulatory messages. Mentoring Commandant Alistair Soyode, founder of the first black owned TV station in U.K. and Europe said, “there’s no better person that deserves this role that Prof. Long. She will definitely deliver. My team and I are ready to work with her in seeking the funds for Nollywood. We are in this together. Congratulations are in order as her work ethic is second to none.”
