A convergence of family, friends and well wishers from all walks of life were at the holy Trinity church Gbagura Abeokuta on Saturday in honour of chief Michael Kolawole Ogunseye for his 70th birthday thanksgiving Service to appreciate God for the gift of life.
In his sermon at the thanksgiving service the vicar, holy Trinity church Gbagura Abeokuta Venerable Peter Ayoade while commending the celebrant for his devotion to the service of God urged him not to relent but used the remaining years of his life more for the service of God and humanity.
Venerable Ayoade charged the celebrant to continually use his gift maximally for the expansion of God’s kingdom on earth.
Highlight of the special birthday service were donations for the completion of the church edifice which the celebrant through his friends and family donated generously to the completion of the project.
The celebrant, Chief Michael Kolawole OGUNSEYE alongside his wife was joined by family, friends and well wishers for thanksgiving at the church altar where prayers were offered for God’s continued leading, guidance and protection over the celebrant and his household.
The celebrant thereafter treated guests and friends to a reception at the millennial Hall of the Abeokuta club Oke ilewo Abeokuta with lots to eat and drink as the evangelist Dr. Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi band was fully on ground to treat everyone to an exciting dancing and funfare .
In attendance at the reception was the former high commissioner to the UK, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola among other notable Egba indigenes.
The Olowu of Owu kingdom OBA Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola was also represented at the occasion by his Oloris , while the founder of ICLED business school international, Lekki and USA, Professor Mrs. Olajumoke Familoni chaired the occasion.
Also In attendance were dignitaries numerous to mention that came from within and outside Nigeria to celebrate God in the life of the asiwaju of Gbagura Christians and Akinlagun Egba Christians, Chief Michael Kolawole OGUNSEYE.
