Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, PhD, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Nigeria, has been honored with the LPSA Nigeria Regional Government Development Champion of the Year 2025 Award.
The award recognizes Dr. Ogbuku’s outstanding contributions to regional development, innovation, and governance in the Niger Delta region. He was represented by Dr. Chris Ekam and Dr. Willie Etim Willie, who received the award on his behalf at the House of Commons and the LPSA Awards Gala Dinner in London.
The award acknowledges Dr. Ogbuku’s leadership in promoting sustainable development and inclusive growth initiatives in Nigeria’s oil-producing communities. Other notable honourees included Former Kenyan Vice President Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Kebbi State Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, and Mayor Paul Bristow.
