Another latest report reaching us is confirming a major attacked by gunmen indicating to have kidnapped pupils from a UBE primary school of Rama in Birnin-Gwari LGA of Kaduna state, Northern Nigeria.
The information also indicates the gunmen to have abducted some teachers from the school.
A local witness who wants to be anonymous said the gunmen invaded this morning the school.
The Commissioner for internal security and home affairs, Hon. Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the attack in a statement but could not provide details of those kidnapped and their number.
“The Kaduna State Government is receiving security reports of kidnapping of some pupils and teachers in a primary school located in Rema, Birnin Gwari local government area.
“According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred at an LEA Primary School in the LGA.
“The Kaduna State Government is currently obtaining details on the actual number of pupils and teachers reported to have been kidnapped and will issue a comprehensive statement as soon as possible”
