The Organised private sector in Africa has thrown their weight behind the current African Development Bank President Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina for a second term in office as the president of the Bank.
In a statement issued on during the week, President Emeritus of the African Business Roundtable Dr. Bamanga Tukur said having scaled the Banks ethics committee investigation concerning allegations by whistleblowers against the person of Akinwunmi Adesina, the African Private sector expresses contentment with the outcome of the investigation and thereby support the second term bid of Dr. Adesina.
According to the Two-page statement which was personally signed by Dr. Bamanga Tukur, The ethics committee of the bank which has the duty to look into such allegation has concluded its investigation and cleared Dr. Adesina of all allegations leveled against him.
According To Dr. Tukur African Development Bank which plays a major role in Driving Africa’s Development is known to have a reputable standard globally. So the presence of external influence and interference mistrusting the credibility of the bank ‘s governing principle might disrupt Africa’s continuous Economic Growth , infrastructure development and investment.
The statement which enumerated the numerous achievement of Dr. Adesina and the president of the bank added that there is a need to build on such successes.
