Politicians mentioned and link to stash cash in Ikoyi as EFCC goes for more politicians and civilians
The biggest problem in Nigeria presently is who is in charge of the funds running into millions found across the country by the country’s crime agency, The Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) whose Chairman Mr. Ibrahim Magu is yet to be confirmed by the Senate.
Over the last few days, a property belonging to a former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Alh. Adamu Muazu, a man alleged to be facing the EFCC for crimes related to financial mismanagement while a Governor of a State was found with almost $50 million in cash.
The property is situated in a highbrow area of Lagos at 16 Osborne Road in Ikoyi. Mr. Adamu agreed to own the building. According to our sources and investigations, Mr. Muazu may have contracted ETCO to handle the building.
Nigerian government since 2016 had put in place a policy to protect and offer tips to whistle-blowers, and such has been generating massive revelations, tips and raids where millions are found in various denominations from British pounds, US dollars, Euros as well as the Nigeria’s currency naira.
The latest haul and cash was found in various rooms and mostly in and behind safes placed behind two apartment’s false wall in Apartment 7B on the Osborne’s property.
There has been various allegations to who owed the stash of cash ranging from an erstwhile director of retail at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Ms. Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue. Ms. Ogbue, earlier today through her legal representative Mr. Emeka Etiaba SAN issued a release denying any ownership of the funds. Another platform and trending claimed that the apartment belong to a daughter of Chief. Tony Anenih, a top PDP official. The latest news is the portrayal of a Minister in the cabinet from South South link to the cash.
While the Minister’s linkage is traced to another top cabinet member of the administration and from South-West Nigeria. The politician is a high profile personality and at a loggerhead with another powerful politician in the country. Our reliable source, confirmed that the Minister mentioned indeed is not from the region and wonders why his name is link matter.
The EFCC are yet to officially deliver their verdicts on the owner of the stash money. The agency so far has recovered millions from various states in the country and are presently on a chase of top members of the country’s National Assembly.
