NDGP Dr Johnson and YES Party were represented, Nigeria Youth Decide (NYD) states that it has concluded plans to hold a Presidential Debate on 26th. Jan. 2019, at Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, FCT, Abuja.
Nigerian Youth Decide (NYD) partners with Life Saver Ambassador and Nigerians in Diaspora/NDM, Christian Association CAN Youth wing, Islamic Association of Nigeria / Muslim Students Association of Nigeria, Arewa Youth Council, to mention but a few, to hold a National Presidential Debate towards the 2019 Presidential election.
Amb. Uche A. Paul, the National President discloses this, using the Press conference medium saying, “I would like to tell Nigerians both home, and in diaspora and the entire international community, that NYD has partnered with Nigerians living ooverseas to ensure more efficiency of the 2019 Presidential election, coming up on 16th February.”
Again in his statement “Our mission is to positively influence the election that will bring the true leaders Nigerians have been waiting for. These leaders will build Nigeria to become the most desirable country in the world by 2025; and NYD has created this platform to seeing to fully ensure this.”
“May I state that NYD, is a subsidiary of Diamond Youth Transformation Initiative of Nigeria (DYTI) and many other NGOs in the within and outside the country has partnered together to create this Presidential Debate as a platform to identify credible Candidates.” He added.
“The vision and mission of the organization which is to promote the desires and ambitions of the Nigerian Youths regarding leadership in our Nation cannot be achieved when there is bad leadership in governance. To this end we as Youths must be fully involved.”
Furthermore, “It is unequivocally true that over the last three decades, Nigeria has been in a continuous spiral of decadence in terms of leadership and governance. Youths are completely denied the opportunity to play significant roles in the governance, and we have now finally woken up.”
“While calling on electing credible candidates through the debate which will be televised nationally and internationally, may I emphasize that “the Youth group is a non-partisan body of intelligent, determined, focused and patriotic young leaders in the country, without any tribal, religious, ethnic or social status bias.”
“We see the need to energize the Nigerian youths to be engage in political sphere, speak the truth without minding whose ox is gored and engaged in processing affairs, that affect the future of the youths through fair, responsible and progressive governance.”
Finally he remarked that,”Meanwhile some of the international partners of the event have expressed satisfaction towards the conduct of programme. We are fully determination and all hands are on deck. “It is refreshingly and consoling that there is a renewed call to order, an era of reckoning.”
